Lisa is a painter working in Toronto / Tkaronto (Canada) where she was born.

She graduated from Guelph University with an Honours BA in Studio Art and attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario for the Artist In the Community Education Program. She furthered her education in art through studies at OCAD University in Toronto, and the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. 

Her paintings, like all art, work to express things when words fall short.  They each wrestle with concepts of passing time, the evolution of self and relationships. Visual fragments of a place and time integrate with the infinite ways that paint can be expressive. Each piece holds a revisited narrative with the goal to create a new relational space.

Watch how what emerges and what fades are bound together, each depending on the other to exist at all.

Growth leans into decay and movement rests within stillness, just as an exhale simply follows a deep in breath.
